Behind And Beyond Your Knowing (Baby K).
Hello guys, it has been a while since I shared the next episode of Baby K. For those reading this for this first time I will do a brief recap of the past episode and what this articles is all about.
Behind And Beyond Your Knowing (Baby K) is a Christian multivational study book which has blessed the lifes of many, this study focus on The deep meaning of the word, God’s original provision for man, what he expects from us as his children (Citizens of heaven).
This was brought to you by an organization of vibrant youths and teens of a parish under the Redeemed Christian church of God, Alpha Chapel parish.
In the first episode of this series we discussed God’s original plan for man, under that we discussed God first provision for man which is light (Genesis 1:3-4, John 1:4-5). In the next episode we discussed about the source of light (John 1:4):
“In Him was Life, and the Life was the light of men”.John 1:4.
The word (Jesus Christ) is life and his life was the light of men – John 1:1-4. I.e no life aside him. We attain his life in us the moment we accept him as our Lord and saviour. Now you will be thinking that before accepting him are we not living? The fact is that there is a difference between living and existing! Before we accept him we are just existing (our life was sin) there is no two ways about that. Its either you are living or dead!.
Romans 5:8 says “When we are yet sinners Christ died for us” he knows we are dead spiritually so that’s why he gave his life for us so that we can live. I.e the bible didn’t say that when we weren’t sinners Christ died for us, if it were so then he won’t have gave his life.
In today’s episode of baby K we will be discussing about this bible passage “John 15:4”
“Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me”. (Message bible).
To Abide Means to:
- Be in
- Live in
- Stay in
What is God trying to say when he said “Abide in me”?
Vibrant Youths And Teens Says:
- Love Me
- Have A Relationship with me
- Live my Life
- keep my word
- Do my will
- Stand in gap for me
- Be full of me.
Love me: practically, its only a person we love we care about, we fear, we can’t do without.
Have A Relationship with me: when you are in a relationship with someone, you find out that you always think of that person all the time, you can’t do without not thinking about that person, you make sure that person is happy, you make sure you obey that person so as not to provoke that person to anger.
Live My Life: when we are yet of the world, there is this lifestyle we can’t do without (Galatians 5:19-21).
19: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20: Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21: Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
We find it as a NORMAL THING lieing, stealing, keeping malice, backbiting, fighting… But after salvation the lifestyle of the world goes out and the lifestyle of Christ comes in, so its then we realise it isn’t normal I.e it is ABNORMAL.
Keep my WORD: When you keep studying the word of God you find out that you feel connected, certain new things you do you sometimes ask your self if it was you really doing it. (Joshua 1:8, 1 Timothy 2:16).
Do my Will: atimes when you find yourself in any situation, ask your self will Christ do what am doing presently? The reason why we are called Christians is because we are Christ-like (without Christ i a(am) n(nothing). So if you keep doing what you still do when you were still of the world then that salvation can be questioned. Only you can answer that question I.e no body knows you better than God and your self.. Rededicate your life to Christ today, have a conscious relationship with him, do his will and he will give you his promise (Mathew 6:33).
Stand in gap for me: This is the deepest meaning behind it all. We see in the bible that after Christ left before the disciples were called Christians, the Pharisees find out that they were doing just like he did (they stood in gap for him). Act 1:8 says:
“What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.” – (message bible translation).
That was why they were called Christian I.e if it were not so then they won’t have been called by that name.
Be full of me: a man full of evil do evil things and a man that is full of good do good things. Its as simple as that. Be full of God’s character and lifestyle
Galatians 5:22 says
22. But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard – things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments,
23. not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way.
24. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good – crucified.
25. Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives.
26. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original. (Message bible translation).
In conclusion: to abide in him means: to obey strictly, act in accordance, be faithful, inject his (God) character and charisma in your day to day activities and my prayer for you is that God in his infinite mercy will help you fulfill that in Jesus name, Amen!.
Prayer Point: Father Align me to you, help me be of you.
